Les is a physicist, a science and science fiction author, and a NASA technologist.  His science fiction books include Mission to Methone, Back to the Moon, Rescue Mode, and the soon-to-be-released Stellaris: People of the Stars. His popular science books include Graphene: The Superstrong, Superthin, and Superversatile Material That Will Revolutionize the World, Solar Sails - A Novel Approach to Interplanetary Travel and others.  In his day job, he is the Principal Investigator for NASA’s Near-Earth Asteroid Scout solar sail mission which will launch in 2020 and the Formulation Manager for Nuclear Rockets in the NASA MSFC Science & Technology Office.  Les is a member of the International Academy of Astronautics, A Fellow of the British Interplanetary Society, a member of the National Space Society, and MENSA – and is the Program Chairman of the Tennessee Valley Interstellar Workshop.  He is a 30-year resident of Madison, AL and is originally from Kentucky.  You may learn more about Les on his website: www.lesjohnsonauthor.com
